Annex A controls,
enforced by the runtime.

An ISO/IEC 27001 audit samples your technical controls and asks for proof that they ran. In BitSwan, the Annex A controls that cover the apps your people build are enforced by the runtime and logged as they run, so the evidence exists before the auditor asks for it.

What auditors sample

Four controls. Already evidenced.

“Are dev, test and production separate?”

A.8.31. Development, staging and production each run on their own database, file store and network. The stages cannot reach one another, and production data never lands in a test stage.

“Who approved this change?”

A.8.32 · A.5.3. Every change is frozen, reviewed and signed by an auditor who did not build it. The person who wrote the change cannot release it to production alone.

“Can anyone alter the logs?”

A.8.15. Builds, approvals, sign-offs and deployments go into an append-only history that not even the operator can rewrite. Events stream to your SIEM in real time.

“Who has access, and how is it removed?”

A.5.15 · A.8.5. Access is denied by default and granted per person and per trusted device. Identities can come from your own single sign-on, and revoking them there revokes them here.

Also covered: every image scanned for known vulnerabilities before it ships (A.8.8), backups proven by restore rehearsals (A.8.13, A.5.30), secrets kept out of source code (A.8.24) and outbound traffic allowed per service (A.8.20–8.21). All of it lives in Bailey, the governed runtime every BitSwan automation runs in.

Honest scope

What this page is, and isn’t.

ISO/IEC 27001 certifies your information security management system, not a tool. BitSwan supplies technical controls and the evidence that they operate. Your risk assessment, policies and the rest of the ISMS stay yours. At the demo we go through your Statement of Applicability line by line against the running platform.
